Overview
Plenar has played an instrumental role in creating the international standard ISO/IEC 24752. Plenar has released many Open Source tools (http://www.openurc.org/tools/) implementing the ISO/IEC 24752 Standard and Technical reports (http://www.openurc.org/TR), in partnership with Trace Center (University of Wisconsin, Madison) and OpenURC Consortium
Home Automation Middleware’s
UCH (Universal Control Hub): UCH is based on ISO/IEC 24752 standard. Plenar has developed the complete middleware in Java, C++ and Android. It is completely Open Source and can be downloaded from http://openurc.org/tools. The ISO/IEC 24752 standards are actively developed and maintained by OpenURC Consortium and Plenar is an active member in the technical committee.
OpenHAB (Open Home Automation Bus): OpenHAB is an award winning Open Source Home Automation middleware. Plenar has helped Stuttgart Media University setup OpenHAB/UCH based Home Automation Lab as part of the Prosperity4All project.
List of devices integrated
Plenar has developed software adapter to communicate with various devices using standard and proprietary communication protocols over Bluetooth 2.1 and 4.0, Zigbee, ANT+, Wifi, USB, RS485, RS232 Serial, IR blaster. Here is the list of devices:
